Job Description

Mercer Investments (Australia) Limited is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Investment Solutions Director in our Melbourne or Sydney office. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity.

  • A competitive salary range: AU$180,000 - AU$220,000 per annum, based on location and experience.

Responsibilities

As an Investment Solutions Director, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading learning and development programs.
  • Incentive Compensation Plan management.
  • Project management, focusing on performance and attribution.
  • Engaging with and supporting other activities of the broader performance teams globally.
  • Representing Mercer externally through client advisory/consulting projects and presentations.
  • Building relationships with clients, suppliers, and external consultants.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. An Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of investment principles, financial markets, and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Factset and its methodologies. Experience with Alpha or Aladdin is an advantage.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in investment performance analysis, attribution, and strategic leadership, with at least 5 years of experience in people management.
  • A proven track record of successfully setting up performance analysis teams and driving strategic decision-making.
  • Extensive knowledge of investment products, asset classes, and portfolio management techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing investment strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
