Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead complex environmental assessments and approvals processes for major infrastructure, renewables, mining, and government sectors in South Australia. This role involves working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes for diverse clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing medium to large projects through the development spectrum, including timelines, budgets, and resourcing. They will also possess strong knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced environmental professionals or planners looking to expand and diversify their skills and network.



About The Role
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver high-quality project outcomes and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Project Management: Scope, plan, manage, and execute environmental assessment, planning, approvals, and environmental management projects.
  • Project Team Management: Manage project teams to achieve exceptional project results that exceed client expectations.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships and develop proposals to secure new business.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality project outcomes and enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Scoping, planning, managing, and executing environmental assessment, planning, approvals, and environmental management projects.
  • Managing project teams to achieve exceptional project results that exceed client expectations.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and developing proposals to secure new business.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in environmental science, planning, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental impact assessment or planning and approvals (SA experience essential).
  • Strong knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience managing medium to large projects through the development spectrum, including timelines, budgets, and resourcing.
  • Adaptability to undertake a range of technical work based on project requirements.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing staff.
  • Interest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive team and client relationships.
