About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership position within our environmental team. As a Principal or Senior Principal Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and managing planning and approval projects, as well as environmental impact assessments for major infrastructure, renewables, mining, and government sectors.

Our team is seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in environmental impact assessment or planning and approvals. You will have the opportunity to lead complex and multi-dimensional environmental assessments and approval processes, and will work closely with clients across the development spectrum.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in environmental impact assessment or planning and approvals, and will possess a deep understanding of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a focus on delivering high-quality project outcomes and enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Scope, plan, manage, and execute environmental assessment, planning, approvals, and environmental management projects.
  • Manage project teams to achieve exceptional project results that exceed client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, developing high-quality proposals to secure new business.
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who has experience in delivering approvals within South Australia. In this role, you will lead high performing project teams, mentor staff, grow your external networks, and utilise your skills to solve complex problems for our clients.

  • Qualifications in environmental science, planning, or related degree discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental impact assessment or planning and approvals (SA experience essential).
  • Strong knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience managing medium to large projects through the development spectrum.
  • Adaptability to undertake a range of technical work based on project requirements.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing staff.
  • Interest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive team and client relationships.
  • Organised, motivated, and self-directed.
