As a Financial Accountant and Analyst, you will play a key role in driving the financial performance of our Queensland operations. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the finance department, overseeing financial transactions and reporting, and ensuring the organisation's financial security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial transactions and reporting within the company, including cash flows and financial analysis.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks, implement effective risk management policies and procedures, and ensure the organisation's financial security.
- Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, measure performance, and evaluate financial efficacy of business initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Maintain strong relationships with Queensland operations and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A degree in Commerce, Business, or Accounting.
- A recognised Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant.
- Tenacity, passion, and pace – this is a strong business partnering opportunity and we are looking for the right person to make an impact.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis/reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of P&L drivers of performance.
- Strong focus on process improvement and driving efficiencies.
- Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of financial reporting packages.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines.
