Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of System Accreditation Specialist. As an Execution Lead, you will oversee key Boeing Defence Australia Program and development activities for a range of customers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide specialist advice on best practices for system accreditation activities and standards across Boeing Defence Australia. They will also be responsible for quality assurance on system accreditation submissions, maintaining a portfolio of systems and their authorisation status.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with Enterprise IT specialists, project managers, and other internal teams to develop and maintain incident response requirements and standards for projects that comply with relevant Government legislation as mandated by the Defence Industry Security Program.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing awareness and educational programs specific to incident response, ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and operational security in line with Government requirements.

Maintaining confidentiality, discretion, and high levels of integrity is crucial in this role, as it involves protecting both company and client information and data.

The System Accreditation Specialist will empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance across the business.

Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship is required to meet defence security requirements.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and authorisation of systems within the Australian Government context is essential, along with a good working knowledge of the ISM, PSPF, DSPF, and the DCIAB Assessment and Authorisation framework.
  • A diploma or degree in cyber security, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as ISO27001 lead implementer, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, IRAP, are highly desirable.
  • The successful candidate will be highly organised, task-oriented, and a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to make and/or change plans, goals, and actions in response to an evolving business environment, with awareness to operate as a focal point for incident response across the business.
  • Periodic travel may be required within or outside assigned regions.
