Job Title: Senior Information Technology Academic Leader

The Institution seeks a senior information technology academic leader to drive the future of IT education and shape the vision forward.

About The Role

This is an opportunity to lead the development and implementation of IT programs, offering specialisations in Cyber Security and Big Data & Analytics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our courses are designed in collaboration with industry and aligned to Australian Computer Society (ACS) accreditation standards.

We champion strong industry connections and exceptional student employability through our ACS Professional Partner Program membership. We're looking for an inspiring academic leader to drive our IT vision forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead enhancements to student outcomes and experience, operational efficiency, regulatory reporting and academic learning & teaching collaboratively with other departments
  • Lead subject and course reviews and development in the field of Information Technology, and accreditation applications to the Board of Directors and the regulator (TEQSA)
  • Contribute to the future and development of the institution including participating actively and constructively in various project teams and committees
Requirements
  • A PhD in the relevant discipline: Information Technology with a specialisation in Cyber Security or Data Analytics
  • Knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, trends, skills in the field of Information Technologies and specialisations in Cyber Security and/or Big Data/Data Analytics
  • Significant experience in teaching a diverse range of students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs
  • Industry experience and engagement with the professions
  • Experience in academic management duties in a tertiary setting in Australia
  • Senior leadership experience in higher education
