Mechanical Trainer

We are seeking skilled trainers to deliver and develop high-quality training for mechanical apprentices and tradespeople.
These roles play a vital part in supporting workforce capability through hands-on instruction, assessment, and mentoring in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
- Detect and correct any issues with training delivery;
- Mentor apprentices and tradespeople to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job tasks effectively;
- Develop and maintain training plans, packages, and supporting documentation;
- Safety supervision and enforcement as well as maintenance and trouble-shooting of equipment within facilities to ensure compliance with OHS&W regulations;
- Perform other duties as required by your manager or supervisor.
- Hold a relevant trade certification;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment preferable;
- Trade experience in heavy engineering or shipbuilding is preferred;
- Strong communication and report writing skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in managing technical documentation;
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and initiative;
- Effective team player with the ability to motivate and support others.
This role requires a current national police clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
