Job Description

The Senior Dairy Cattle Stockperson plays a pivotal role in the production team of a dairy farm, overseeing key aspects of milk production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate all milking shed routines and reproductive programs to optimize dairy cattle management.
  • Implement calving procedures and analyze produce to set and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Supervise animal health programs, handle sick or injured animals, and create an optimal environment for livestock wellbeing.
  • Operate milking plant equipment safely, undertake multiple functions, and record instrument information accurately.
  • Assist with irrigation works, inspect livestock regularly, and identify report equipment not operating normally.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure stock and inventory control.
  • Ensure food safety regulatory requirements are met and contribute to occupational health and safety protocols.

This is a full-time, permanent role requiring three years of recent relevant work experience in dairy cattle management. The ideal candidate will hold an AQF Certificate III in Agriculture/Dairy Production or higher equivalent and possess strong computer literacy skills.
