Logistics Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled logistics manager to join our organisation.

  • Responsibilities include working in Clayton and travelling to 3PL operations in Tullamarine.
  • Key performance indicators include supporting continuous improvement in logistics processes and cost efficiency.
  • Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in procurement processes.
  • Leadership skills are essential to guide team members towards achieving departmental objectives.
  • Detailed reports on supply chain performance will be prepared and presented to senior management.
  • The role also involves managing strategic relationships with 3PL providers.
  • Import/export operations will be overseen, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Utilisation of SAP MM and SD for inventory control and order management is required.
  • Accurate handling and classification of dangerous goods must be ensured.
  • Performance monitoring of 3PL operations and driving service improvements will be ongoing tasks.
  • Liaison with internal teams will occur regularly regarding stock levels, replenishment, and delivery timelines.
  • Interpretation and application of technical inventory terminology across systems and documentation will be necessary.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing 3PL relationships within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • A strong understanding of cold chain logistics and temperature-sensitive products.
  • Expertise in SAP MM and SD modules for inventory and order management.
  • Familiarity with dangerous goods classifications and handling protocols.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical inventory terminology and logistics data.
  • A track record of ensuring compliance with healthcare and TGA standards.
