The estimated hourly pay rate for this role is $27.35 per hour. Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Co-worker to join our team in the Selling function. As a Sales Co-worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and supporting customers with their home furnishing needs;
  • Assisting with product assembly and restocking; and
  • Maintaining a clean and organized sales area.
Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Being an IKEA Ambassador by understanding the impact of your interactions on the customer's experience;
  • Supporting customers with their home furnishing design process using the IKEA 3D rendering software;
  • Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products;
  • Maintaining a clean and organised sales area, ensuring all products are properly priced and fully stocked;
  • Assembling products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality;
  • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment;
  • Staying knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • PASSION FOR OUR HOME FURNISHING PRODUCTS AND WORKING WITH CUSTOMERS;
  • PROFICIENCY IN COMPUTER SKILLS AND ABILITY TO LEARN ABOUT ALL TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE IKEA RANGE;
  • ABILITY TO PRIORITISE TASKS IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT AND MANAGE YOUR OWN TASKS;
  • CALM AND CONFIDENT APPROACH ALONG WITH STRONG COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SKILLS, ENSURING WE KEEP THE CUSTOMER IN MIND NO MATTER WHAT WE DO;
  • 'TOGETHERNESS' MINDSET WHERE YOU'LL WORK CLOSELY WITH YOUR TEAM AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS YET ALSO BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY;
