Job Opportunity

A rare chance to step into a leadership role at a well-established and highly regarded law firm. As Practice Manager, you will be a central figure in the practice, providing key support to Partners in managing financial operations, human resources, and business operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to drive change and implement improvements across departments. You will have the support of an experienced Assistant to help achieve smooth day-to-day running.

About the Role
  • Oversee financial management activities, including trust account management, preparation of financial statements, and regular reporting to Partners.
  • Recruitment and HR functions
  • Lead operations management, focusing on marketing, business development, liaising with external service providers, and ensuring systems are in place for smooth business operations.
  • Assist with developing and executing the firm's growth strategy, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, managing insurances, equipment, and IT services.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a practice management role within a law firm.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, reporting, and trust account management.
  • Excellent human resources experience, including staff recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Solid understanding of operations management, including marketing, business development, and IT management.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and staff.
  • Proactive attitude with a solutions-driven approach to problem-solving.

Pay Information

Base pay range — A$100,000.00/yr - A$130,000.00/yr
