Newmont Mining is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Apprentice High Voltage Electrician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of learning and on-the-job experience to complete your four-year apprenticeship program.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a nationally recognized trade qualification in High Voltage Electrician
- Gain comprehensive on-the-job experience and classroom training
- Work on Electric Rope Shovels, HV Power Supply and Systems
- Develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with a diverse team to achieve maintenance goals
Requirements
- C class drivers license (provisional licenses accepted)
- Pre-apprenticeship experience in a related trade
- Interest in machinery, engines, and electronics
- Ability to think logically and keep up with advances in technology
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and willingness to learn
