Job Title: Technical Architecture Expert

About the Role:

This is a critical opportunity for an experienced technical architect to join our organization and drive the design and implementation of complex Oracle database migration projects to Azure Exadata ExaCS.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Oracle database architecture, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and security. They will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable migration architectures.

The role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on designing, validating, and optimizing Oracle database configurations, as well as guiding migration engineers on best practices, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the technical architecture for Oracle DB migrations to Azure Exadata ExaCS, aligning with enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to translate business requirements into scalable migration architectures.
  • Design, validate, and optimize Oracle DB configurations (RAC, Data Guard, ASM, multitenancy).
  • Guide migration engineers on implementation best practices, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure integration with Azure services, security models, and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and architecture validations throughout migration.
  • Suggest sizing, capacity planning, and high availability strategies.

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled technical architect with:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Oracle DB architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle 11gR2, 12c, and 19c, particularly on Exadata platforms.
  • Expertise in RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and multitenancy.
  • Familiarity with Azure networking, security, and governance models.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence architectural decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
