Job Title: Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team at KU Children's Services in Western Melbourne.

About the Role

This is a permanent opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, providing early intervention services to children aged birth to 7 years. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating children with communication and swallowing disorders, working collaboratively with families and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat children with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized plans in collaboration with families and other professionals
  • Provide education and support to families on communication and swallowing strategies
  • Work collaboratively with other therapists and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to speech pathology services
Requirements
  • Australian recognized tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children
  • Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments
  • Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases
  • Meticulous time management and organisation skills
  • Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
  • A Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain
