Job Description

This position involves delivering evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care.

The successful candidate will work with older people to maintain or regain independence, mobility, and confidence to remain living at home.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in the Cowra and surrounding area. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to empower clients to live their best possible lives at home, surrounded by the people, community and memories they love most.

You will have the opportunity to develop individualised programs for aged care clients in the community, utilising your comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models.

Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to support clients' goals
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures
About You
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated ability to assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients in the community
  • Post graduate experience working with in a variety of aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings
  • Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models
  • Confident working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
