Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mine Maintenance Manager to oversee the supervision of maintenance work and ensure a healthy & safe working environment.

This role supports the Underground Services Manager in coordinating and supervising maintenance works to provide effective responses to unscheduled repairs or breakdowns. You will liaise with operations, develop cost-effective solutions, and minimize turn-around time for each maintenance event.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and supervising maintenance works to ensure optimal plant availability
  • Liaising with the Maintenance Manager to optimize workable time and minimize costs
  • Ensuring safe and environmentally friendly working procedures are enforced
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on technical developments from OEMs
  • Managing and updating Plant build lists
  • Consolidating reports from subordinates to produce effective back-log plant asset management plans
  • Performing knowledge sharing to enhance professional development within the organization
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A trade certificate
  • At least 5 years' experience in plant maintenance (with 2-3 in a supervisory role preferable)
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A driver's license (manual)
  • A high knowledge base of Drill maintenance & systems, RCS electrics & hydraulics
  • The ability to travel regularly to Drill operating sites
  • Demonstrated verbal & written communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of mining & safety regulations
