About the Position:

We seek Support Workers for aged and disability services. The position is initially casual with potential for permanent appointment.

The role involves providing in-home services to clients in Inner West, Parramatta, Cumberland and Canterbury-Bankstown areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with community access and recreational activities
  • Transportation and supporting social engagement and shopping assistance
  • Personal care, including showering, toileting and personal hygiene assistance
  • Domestic duties, such as meal preparation and cleaning
  • Maintenance of accurate documentation

Essential Criteria:

  1. Fluency in multiple languages (Turkish and Mandarin/Cantonese desirable)
  2. A Certificate III or above in Individual Support, Disability Support or Aged Care is required
  3. An understanding of older people's and people with disability's needs from diverse backgrounds is essential
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and caring manner are necessary
  5. A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one is required
  6. A driver's license and reliable vehicle for transporting clients are also necessary
  7. The ability to use a Smartphone and Internet is required
  8. A willingness to obtain and maintain clearances is essential
  9. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, is necessary
  10. A COVID 19 Vaccination & Booster certificate is also required
  11. A current Influenza vaccination or willingness to obtain one is necessary
