About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is available for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in the Western Australian region. As EHS Manager, you'll be responsible for driving consistent implementation of our health, safety, and environmental systems across the region.
You'll work closely with site management teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, monitor and mitigate risks, and promote a culture of zero harm.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing oversight of health, safety, and environmental incidents and supporting sites with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action close-out.
- Monitoring and driving activities with external regulatory bodies, such as WorkSafe and EPA, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Planning and implementing environmental, health, and safety programs that align with our company's sustainability goals.
- Identifying and mitigating common environmental, health, and safety hazards at our sites.
- Promoting a culture of zero harm by providing expert advice, support, and driving implementation of our EHS system.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Extensive experience as a Safety and Environmental Manager.
- Qualifications in WHS and environmental fields (Cert IV or Diploma in Environmental/Risk field or similar tertiary qualification).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of WHS and environmental legislation, codes of practice, standards, and associated obligations.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with all stakeholders around risk management.
- Leadership and mentoring experience to continually improve the quality culture.
- A high level of initiative and ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and analyze data.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
