Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in creating and maintaining strong relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring the delivery of strategic commercial project leadership, operational management, guidance, and oversight for assigned packages of work.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and deliver the Contract Management Plan for relevant packages, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements, commercial and contract best practices, and industry requirements.
- Lead, manage, mentor, and empower the contracts team, providing support, guidance, performance management, staff development, and issue resolution.
- Manage payment activities, insurances, and contract securities and levies in accordance with contractual requirements and the Queensland Hydro Commercial Principles.
- Monitor and report on contractors and contract performance in accordance with Queensland Hydro's commercial reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of commercial contract level reports for the project delivery team and attend project delivery team meetings as necessary.
- Maintain awareness of project level commercial and contract management activities, including progress and broader context, and understanding of implications.
We are looking for a candidate with 10+ years of construction, commercial, and contract management experience, ideally within a large project delivery environment. A tertiary or above qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commercial, Law, Construction, or a relevant discipline is required. Experience working with government stakeholders is highly desirable.
