A pivotal role exists to oversee the Postnatal Ward and Midwifery Home Visiting service, ensuring exceptional care for new mothers and their newborns.
Key Responsibilities:- Leverage clinical expertise to coordinate and lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring continuity and quality of patient care.
- Develop and implement models of care that are person and family-centred, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
- Review and improve midwifery practices and multidisciplinary teams, promoting outstanding patient outcomes.
- Registered Midwife or Nurse and Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Current practicing certificate and at least three years of post-registration experience.
- Effective leadership skills, highly developed communication abilities, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a workplace that develops staff potential, proven flexibility, innovation, and creativity within the service setting.
- Demonstrated competence in relevant nursing and/or midwifery practices, experience in management, leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management.
