Job Summary

As a 1st Year Carpenter, you will start your career in the construction industry.

This role involves working under the guidance of experienced mentors and assisting in the construction, assembly, and repair of structures using wood and various materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support experienced carpenters in construction tasks such as interpreting technical drawings, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials for various projects.
  • Operate basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure) and learn to use power tools (saw, drill) under supervision.
  • Follow safety procedures, maintain cleanliness, and assist in material handling.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Essential Skills:
  • Basic Carpentry Skills: Familiarity with basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure) and introductory use of power tools (saw, drop saw).
  • Reading and Understanding Instructions: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from experienced carpenters and supervisors.
  • Physical Aptitude: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting materials and standing for extended periods.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to learning and following safety guidelines and protocols in a construction environment.
