About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Engineering Specialist to join our Technical Services team in Parramatta.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing survey projects to agreed time, cost and quality requirements. This includes leading teams to satisfy clients' business and program objectives, evaluating all survey requirements of projects, and auditing products against technical criteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage survey projects to agreed time, cost and quality requirements by leading a team to satisfy clients' business and program objectives.
  • Evaluate all survey requirements of projects, ensuring project outcomes are met by liaising with project teams, stakeholders, contractors and professional service providers.
  • Audit both in-house and external products against the scope of works and technical criteria, ensuring the integrity of project technical data.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, improving work efficiencies in technical, WHS and environmental matters by adherence to the survey unit's quality management system.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification or equivalent in Surveying and demonstrated relevant experience in the provision of surveying technical advice and management of technical risk.
  • Knowledge of lidar scanning technology and software to achieve survey accurate results.
  • Relevant legislation, management systems, specifications, policies and procedures related to surveying practices and procedures.

About You

You will have strong experience in mobile, remote piloted aircraft, aircraft or satellite scanning, along with knowledge of associated software. You will be able to engage with stakeholders, interpret data and possess high-level organisational skills.

You will be a self-starter, autonomous operator who proactively takes the initiative to establish effective relationships and solve problems, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
