First Episode Psychosis Mental Health Clinician

Mental health clinicians play a pivotal role in providing best-practice interventions to individuals experiencing first episode psychosis, empowering them to navigate their recovery journey with confidence and hope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based therapies that foster consumer empowerment and support the recovery process.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical outcomes and enhance service delivery, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide targeted interventions for psychosis and other mental health issues, as well as family relationship concerns.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Full registration with relevant Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) boards or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Knowledge and skills in at least two evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
  • Relevant clinical mental health experience in community settings, including working with young people and their families, is highly valued.
  • High-level communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team are essential for success in this role.
  • Experience in managing consumers with first episode psychosis and current unrestricted NSW driver's license are also required.
