About the Role

Brigidine College St Ives is seeking a dynamic and future-focused Principal to lead the school into its next phase of development. The successful candidate will have a deep personal commitment to the values and Catholic principles of the College and will work to give expression to the Mission and Vision of its Catholic, Kildare Ministries, and Brigidine traditions through the development and implementation of a range of educational programs, faith experiences, and pastoral services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-faceted team and provide strategic direction for the school.
  • Develop and implement educational programs, faith experiences, and pastoral services that align with the College's Mission and Vision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
  • Drive educational innovation and anticipate the future needs of learners.
  • Support and promote professional development among staff, ensuring a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Ensure a highly sustainable educational and built environment and drive deep connections within the Brigidine and the wider educational and local communities.

About the College

Brigidine College St Ives is a highly regarded 7-12 Catholic independent girls' school committed to providing a holistic and inclusive education. Established by the Brigidine Sisters in 1954, the College is steeped in a rich tradition of faith, learning, and service and is proudly governed by Kildare Ministries.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to actively foster and support the Catholic ethos, the mission and values of Kildare Ministries and the traditions of the Brigidine Sisters.
  • Experience in driving educational innovation, with the capacity to anticipate and address the future needs of learners.
  • Skilled in supporting and promoting professional development among staff, ensuring a positive, high-performing culture through regular feedback and appraisal processes.
  • Experience in strategic leadership and school management, including staff recruitment, performance management, and compliance with legal and financial obligations.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
  • Business acumen in terms of ensuring a highly sustainable educational and built environment and an ability to drive deep connections within the Brigidine and the wider educational and local communities.
