Lead Educator - Religious Studies

The school seeks an experienced and dedicated professional to lead the development of Religious Education in a supportive environment.

This role requires an understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners. Collaboration, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills are essential for success.

  • Promotes Catholic mission and vision through effective teaching practices
  • Displays confidence, curiosity, enthusiasm, and optimism in leading the educational team
  • Builds trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing curriculum plans aligned with Catholic values
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies
  • Providing coaching and feedback to improve teacher practice

Requirements:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Minimum 8 semester units of postgraduate study in Religious Education or related fields
  • Full accreditation to teach in a Catholic School and accreditation to teach Religious Education

Desirable Criteria:

  • Masters or other postgraduate qualification in Theology, Religious Education, or Educational Leadership
  • Recent leadership experience in a Catholic School with a proven track record of improving student outcomes
