Job Title

Mobile Solutions Architect


The purpose of the Mobile Solutions Architect role is to design, develop, and implement end-to-end mobile solutions that meet operational needs. The individual will work within a scrum team environment, actively collaborating with and assisting other members of the mobile team in successfully completing their activities while maintaining high standards of code quality and architectural compliance.


Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop end-to-end mobile solutions using native iOS Swift technologies.
  • Work closely with the mobile team to identify process and system improvements for mobile development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver business outcomes by leveraging expertise in mobile development and architecture.
  • Contribute to the development of technical designs and provide analysis to teams to assist in feature estimations for changes to mobile applications.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Undertake system analysis, solution, and technical design activities with high-quality documentation and realistic work estimates as the end-deliverables.
  • Ensure proposed technical designs comply with application architectural principles and undertake coding activities that comply with any design specification or feature criteria.
  • Undertake manual and automated test activities to ensure artefacts are available to satisfy any audit compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Connected Propositions Engineering Manager and technical team in requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of mobile solutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in an IT discipline at degree level.
  • At least 4 years of experience in iOS native Swift Technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift programming language and iOS development frameworks.
  • Experience with mobile development using languages such as Objective C, Java, Kotlin, or .NET Xamarin highly regarded.
  • REST Services and Azure knowledge and experience highly regarded.
  • Good understanding of mobile application architecture principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within various team structures to deliver business outcomes.
