Job Opportunity:

Urban Design Professional

The City of Parramatta aims to create a vibrant and diverse community through urban design. This role will contribute to the achievement of the City's strategic objectives.

  • Deliver innovative urban design studies, built form and public domain advice, and supporting design guidelines across various scales and project types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing urban design studies for Council initiated projects.
  • Creating spatial frameworks, design concepts, and place-based development controls and guidelines.
  • Providing strategic design advice and review of precinct, planning proposals, and development proposals.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Council to deliver holistic and coordinated outcomes.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and the community to inform, advocate, and negotiate Council priorities and policy directions.

Requirements:

This role requires a person with demonstrated experience in delivering effective urban design studies and supporting design guidelines.
