Job Opportunity

Join a team as a childcare chef to prepare and serve meals daily for a childcare centre.

The role involves cooking four nutritious meals daily, with access to a fully equipped kitchen and monthly cooking activities with the children's rooms. The position offers 5 hours per day with potential for additional hours as the centre grows.

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This is a temporary/part-time role with potential for growth as the centre continues to expand.

Responsibilities
  • Develop seasonal, nutritious menus that cater to individual requirements and promote children's health and wellbeing.
  • Build strong relationships with children, educators, families, and the centre community.
  • Ensure best practice food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards it (Desirable, not essential).
  • Awareness of personal responsibilities under Child Protection Laws.
  • Current Working with Children's Check (QLD Blue Card).
  • Available to work 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM with no break, or 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM with a 30-minute break.
  • Experience cooking for children, including meals that meet individual needs, allergies, dietary requirements, and accommodating selective eating while keeping meals healthy and balanced.
