Key Responsibilities:

  • Govern the integrated release calendar for enterprise systems and program deployments, ensuring seamless coordination across business units, technical teams, and project delivery groups.
  • Lead release planning forums, make go/no-go decisions, and assess deployment readiness, leveraging ITIL/change/transition frameworks.
  • Review and enhance release and deployment processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness aligned to industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain release documentation (procedures, templates, runbooks, decision logs), facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Advocate for automated, auditable release practices, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Provide oversight for releases within large ICT programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and readiness requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior program/project managers to identify dependencies, risks, and impacts, driving informed decision-making.
  • Lead governance forums to enforce release policies, maintaining a clear understanding of responsibilities and expectations.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on release risks, impacts, and mitigations, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Communicate complex technical/scheduling matters to business leaders, fostering effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coach project teams on release management expectations and best practices, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
