Driving Systemic Change

A leading human services organisation is seeking a passionate advocate to help lead transformative campaigns that centre First Nations voices, challenge entrenched disadvantage and drive systemic change.

About the Role:
  • Lead campaigns to create lasting change through policy reform, community engagement and advocacy.
  • Grow networks of supporters and allies to amplify justice for those most impacted.
  • Mobilise community into action through social media, events and storytelling.
  • Train and support others to take action and be part of creating a fairer, more compassionate society.
  • Ensure First Nations voices and priorities are always front and centre in our advocacy work.

This role requires someone who is passionate about justice and committed to walking alongside communities to create lasting systemic change. You will be part of powerful campaigns that fight for justice, have a platform to bring First Nations perspectives into strategy and practice, and work with a supportive team that values culture, community and lived experience.

About You:
  • You are a proud Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who brings experience working with mob and community, strong cultural knowledge and connection, and a passion for creating change through campaigns, community organising or advocacy.
  • You have strong communication skills – from yarning with community to writing posts and sharing stories – and confidence to engage with a wide range of people.
  • You are willing to learn, grow and work as part of a collaborative team.
