Job Overview

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay seeks an experienced and passionate Therapeutic House Supervisor to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop a small team, providing individualized support to young people in Out of Home Care (OOHC) settings.

About the Role

The Therapeutic House Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day functions and operations of the house, ensuring compliance with incident management, reporting, and escalation requirements. You will work closely with the Clinical and Case Management teams to deliver high-quality services to children and young people.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations from allocated houses
  • Provide strengths-based solutions-focused supervision, support, and mentoring to Youth Workers
  • Manage house finances and budgets, administration, client records, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with organizational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding, and WHS
  • Advocate for and support the rights of children and young people

We offer a competitive hourly rate based on SCHADS Award 5.1 ($49.28 per hour), salary packaging, face-to-face and online training opportunities, and regular supervision, reflective practice, and teamwork planning activities. Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Welfare, including electives on trauma OR relevant Diploma AND Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma, Statutory Child Protection, or Client Intervention and Case Management
  • Minimum 3 years' direct experience working with high-risk or vulnerable children and young people in an Out of Home Care environment
  • Minimum 2 years' experience leading a small team using contemporary approaches
  • A well-developed understanding of OOHC Services, ITC, and child protection
  • Ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Full NSW drivers license and own insured vehicle
