About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Support Professional to join our community care team in Melbourne. This part-time position involves supporting individuals with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, as well as accompanying them in the community.

As a Support Professional, you will work closely with clients to support their goals and choices, promoting customer choice and positive routines. You will also assist with personal care, mobility, and medication prompting for qualified support workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily support to individuals with daily activities
  • Accompany clients in the community
  • Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and medication prompting (for qualified support workers)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desired but not essential)
  • A current and valid Driver's Licence and insured, reliable motor vehicle
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Proficiency in use of technology such as smartphones, email, and internet
