As a Park Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving Council's parks, reserves, sports fields, road reserves, cemeteries, gardens, and beaches.
Your duties will include undertaking maintenance across a variety of parks and open spaces, including reserves, sports fields, and cemeteries. This will involve mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning gardens and lawns, as well as treating pests, diseases, and weeds to maintain healthy landscapes.
You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining park facilities, including playgrounds and recreational infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance of parks and open spaces
- Garden maintenance
- Pest control
- Cleaning and maintenance of park facilities
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Practical experience in horticulture and the maintenance of parks, gardens, sports fields, and open spaces
- A valid driver's licence and confidence operating plant and equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently when required
- Understanding and adherence to workplace health and safety requirements
