
Inventory Coordinator

As a Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality inventory and procurement services to operational customers across a geographically dispersed area.
- Contribute effectively to the team by implementing the direction set by your people leader, completing specific tasks allocated, collaborating effectively to ensure team goals are achieved, and actively contributing to creating a culture of service excellence.
- Take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others, including your own fitness for work. Store areas must be clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with adequate protection and controls in place for public, visitors, and guests.
- Timely and accurate picking, packing, and delivery of goods to business partners, conduct accurate stocktaking of A and B stores without negative impact on business partner operations, and provide assistance to business partners as required with respect to the procurement/stores processes and practices.
- Conduct low-value, low-risk procurement activity up to the assigned Procurement Delegation and in line with the Procurement and Contract Management Procedure, administer purchasing and salvage activities efficiently and correctly, and conduct audits and other internal governance checks as required, correctly and accurately.
- Stocktaking must be accurate and capture all items held on stock and/or deficient, with all demands on the stores and transactions, including recommended store orders, transfers, requisitions, and orders, actioned and satisfied promptly and effectively.
- Proficient computer skills
- Understanding of procurement and inventory management procedures or demonstrated ability to learn
- Experience in inventory and store operations
- Technical or administrative qualifications (desirable)
- Current drivers license - Class C (essential)
- Current high risk fork lift license (desirable)
- Flexible hours and some after-hours as required, with some intra and interstate travel (mandatory)
- Initial and subsequent medical clearances and immunisations as relevant to the position, to ensure safety in performing the inherent requirements of the role
- Clearance checks to ensure ongoing suitability for the role, including criminal police check, traffic check, Working with Children, and/or Working with Vulnerable People checks (mandatory)
Key stakeholder relationships critical to the success of this role include Service field personnel, External suppliers, Project Managers, Other SA Water logistics personnel, and Supply Chain Team members.
