
Reporter for Regional News Storytelling

We are seeking reporters to cover the south-west Queensland region and create compelling stories that reflect the unique character of western Australia.
The successful applicant will work with colleagues based in Longreach, under the direction of the Western Editor, and will have access to editorial training.
Key responsibilities include finding and telling stories, preparing audio, video, digital and social media content for local and national audiences, building rapport with community leaders, and engaging with stakeholders on behalf of the ABC.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills and experience, a creative approach to content creation, strong editorial judgment, a current driver's license, and willingness to travel to regional locations.
