About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced SMP Superintendent to join our Rail Operations team in Western Australia. This role will operate on a DIDO basis, working on a regional rail project.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing input into the master construction plan
  • Managing a team on-site to achieve project objectives, and planning and programming daily construction activities

Additionally, you will lead section meetings, review progress in productivity and achievement of commercial requirements, contribute to the contract review process, and ensure effective implementation of Laing O'Rourke's project management systems and procedures.

About You

  • A relevant trade qualification combined with significant construction delivery experience in the construction/infrastructure industry
  • Experience working on SMP/civil construction projects in the mining and resources industry with a focus on bulk earthworks and concrete
  • A collaborative style of leadership and effective communication both written and oral
  • Excellent client interface, coordination, time management, and safety leadership skills
  • Ability to manage a large team demonstrating our project values
  • A focus on developing a great culture within your team and the wider project
