About the Role:

We seek an experienced Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver with an MC license for a full-time, permanent position. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across local and regional routes.

The successful candidate will have a valid MC license and a clean driving record. While road train experience is preferred, it is not essential. What is required is a proven track record of safely operating heavy vehicles and adhering to assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery and pickup of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safely operate heavy vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
  2. Adhere to assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery and pickup of goods.
  3. Assist with loading and unloading of freight while ensuring compliance with load restraint regulations.
  4. Maintain accurate documentation, including logbooks for work/rest periods, kilometres driven, and fuel/toll receipts.
  5. Conduct daily pre-trip inspections addressing mechanical or safety concerns before departure.
  6. Follow road safety rules, especially those related to heavy vehicle operation.
  7. Collaborate effectively with the transport manager and team members to support road freight logistics operations.
About You:
  • You have a valid MC license and a clean driving record. HC will be considered.
  • Road train experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in various freight types and load restraint systems is required.
  • Strong time management skills and thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations are essential.
  • Experience in operating on board reporting technology (tablet) is beneficial.
  • Proactive in maintaining vehicle safety and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • A strong focus on safety and compliance with NHVAS Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue protocols.
