Senior Engineering Consultant

Join The State Of Queensland as a Chief Advisor and contribute to the development of high-quality programs and services that improve workplace health and safety outcomes for Queensland workplaces.
About the RoleAs a Chief Advisor, you will work with limited supervision as part of the Engineering Services Unit in the Specialised Health Safety Services (SHSS) directorate to provide professional engineering expertise and technical advice on workplace health and safety issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional and technical advice to stakeholders, government departments, and industry associations.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of high-quality programs and services that improve analysis of failure in structural, electrical/electronic, and mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Prepare high-quality written documentation, including reports, briefing notes, and discussion papers.
- Deliver education and training programs for staff and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with inspectorial staff to ensure the successful implementation of operational procedures.
- Represent The State Of Queensland on internal and external committees.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in engineering and health and safety, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
