About Banking Operations Leadership Role

A senior leadership position within a banking institution, driving process enhancements and automation initiatives in the Banking Operations department.

About This Opportunity

As a direct report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will oversee the Banking Operations function and lead a team of approximately 15 members. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading day-to-day operations, encompassing lending documentation and settlements, card issuances, payments, and deposits products.
  • Transforming the Banking Operations department through process improvement, standardization, and automation to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
  • Developing and executing a strategic roadmap for a scalable function that meets member needs while supporting growth aspirations.
  • Leadership of the Operations teams, ensuring appropriate skill sets and developing team members to support their career objectives.
  • Reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and currency.
  • Contributing to broader leadership across the Finance and Operations function, supporting the wider team in Core System design for new product developments and process enhancements.

Requirements and Qualifications

You will be degree qualified with an in-depth understanding of financial services products and systems. Essential experience includes leading an operations department within a banking or broader financial services sector or regulated industry.

In addition, you will possess proven ability to drive business and process improvements, particularly in automation, process reengineering, and standardization.
