About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Advisor to join our team at Rio Tinto. As a key member of our planning function, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of large-scale projects and studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, reporting, and analysing project progress and performance.
  • Accumulate and disseminate historical schedule knowledge across the portfolio of projects.
  • Monitor progress and assess performance in study and implementation phases.
  • Provide technical planning support to studies and projects.
  • Participate in monthly progress reviews and provide guidance and support to project teams.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and monitoring engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of major capital projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or commensurate level of practical experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Software.
  • Well-developed ability to constructively and critically analyse schedules and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing capability with a collaborative relationship building approach.
