About the Role:

As a Personal Carer, you will provide care to clients living in the community, supporting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

  • Completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes, supporting with daily activities
  • Providing in-home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry, and ironing
  • Supporting clients in accordance with their individualised Care Plans
  • Supporting community-based recreational and social activities
  • Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting home visits to provide personal care and support
  2. Preparing meals, managing household tasks, and assisting with daily activities
  3. Supporting clients with medication management, mobility, and personal care needs
  4. Encouraging clients to engage in recreational and social activities
  5. Assisting clients with transportation and appointment scheduling
Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to client care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and infection control
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
