About the Role

Zurich Insurance Group is seeking an experienced SME Development Underwriter to join our General Insurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships across SME Marine, Commercial Motor & Business portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies for business development to achieve growth targets, operational and financial goals.
  • Enhance financial objectives and proactively deliver Zurich's value proposition into the market.
  • Maintain high levels of internal and external client contact to generate growth opportunities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of business development and leads through identification and connection of new partnerships and the development of new markets.
Requirements
  • Experience in Underwriting and strong understanding of Broker networks.
  • Knowledge of Marine, Commercial Motor business, including relevant Legislation and Regulations governing General Insurance products.
  • Tertiary qualifications, ANZIIF, Insurance certification will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to deliver risk management decisions and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer centric focus and ability to work in an agile environment.
