Network Security Specialist

This is a critical role that requires expertise in network infrastructure management and security operations. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting routers, switches, and fabric switches to ensure seamless connectivity.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting network problems and outages, as well as performing root-cause analysis and recommending improvements. Additionally, you will lead a team of security and network engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful implementation of security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and fabric switches to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages, performing root-cause analysis and recommending improvements.
  • Lead a team of security and network engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage firewalls using FMC (Firepower Management Console) and Splunk, as well as other SIEM tools, to detect and mitigate threats.
  • Perform load balancer administration, working with F5, NetScaler, and Citrix load balancers for traffic optimization and high availability.
  • Work with wireless controllers for optimal performance and user connectivity, ensuring that WAPs are properly maintained.
  • Utilize tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco Prime/DNA Centre, and Cisco Licensing Manager for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain backup solutions, including Veeam, Windows Backup, and Veritas.
  • Use ServiceNow, SCCM, and Intune for incident management, configuration tracking, and policy enforcement.
  • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
