Job Title: Management Accountant

Visy is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our dynamic team at Gibson Island in Brisbane. As a key member of the QLD Finance team, you will be responsible for all facets of accounting and financial functions, providing timely management and financial information to the Visy Pulp & Paper Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, analyze, and report financials, providing commercial and financial support.
  • Stride for continuous system and business process improvements.
  • Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations, assist with annual budget process, and full-year forecasts.
  • Manage transactional account accruals and provisions, ensuring data integrity and anomaly investigation.
  • Balance sheet ownership, timely completion of reconciliations, journal entries, FBT Return/reconciliation, and relevant analysis.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for business units, monitoring expenditure levels, and reviewing for cost savings opportunities.
Requirements:
  • CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion, with a minimum of 2+ years' experience in Management Accountant roles.
  • Quick learner, problem solver, with a great eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and organized, with a 'Can Do' attitude.
  • Great communicator, enabling strong relationships with stakeholders on all levels.
  • Tech savvy, with advanced Excel skills and SAP experience advantageous.
