About the Role

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in the Finance leadership team, working closely with the Financial Controller to prepare monthly financial reports, end-of-month financial accounting, and improving overall Finance processes involving the Financial Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and end-of-month financial accounting
  • Improve overall Finance processes and collaborate with the Financial Accounting team
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory requirements, monthly and annual financial reports, accounting records, and other information
  • Contribute to achieving business strategies and improving profitability
  • Review and improve accounting processes, including interactions with other areas of the business and offshore outsourced teams
  • Participate in budgeting and reporting activities when requested
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in accounting
  • Formal qualifications in accounting essential (e.g., tertiary degree or equivalent completed)
  • Completion or working towards CA/CPA or equivalent
  • Experience in taxation-related areas, such as FBT, Income Tax, GST, and Payroll Tax
  • Experience in the travel industry, either finance or operations, is desirable but not essential
  • Minimum intermediate level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with SAP Business One and Tramada system or similar accounting/travel package is desirable but not essential
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to consistently deliver a high level of customer service and develop and maintain ongoing relationships with customers and colleagues
