About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Theatre Nurse to join our team at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) on the Gold Coast. As a Theatre Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our experienced surgery team, including Dr. Jason Mouatt, to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with surgery prep, instrument sterilization, and scrubbing into complex surgeries.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure smooth operation of the theatre.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Monitor complex anesthesia cases and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • Completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
  • A minimum of 2 years, full-time experience as a qualified nurse.
  • Previous experience in surgery is highly regarded but not essential.
