Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to join our HSEQ Team at Service Stream.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide specialist advice and support to our NSW Utilities project teams to ensure compliance with safety, environment, quality, and client obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert health, safety, and environment advice and guidance to project teams and management;
  • Collaborating with local business management and workers to maintain a healthy and safe workplace;
  • Developing and implementing effective health, safety, and environment policies, systems, programs, and initiatives;
  • Coaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety duties;
  • Promoting a positive work culture and role modeling safety leadership principles;
  • Project fieldwork, critical control effectiveness, and investigations to verify health, safety, and environment management plans;
  • Supporting business management in continually improving the company's risk management capabilities;

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in an HSEQ role with a strong quality background;
  • A working knowledge of legislation, standards, and codes, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and AS 4801;
  • Prior experience managing safety, environment, and quality requirements on major engineering or construction projects;
  • Excellent communication and people management skills;
  • Prioritization and organizational skills to manage competing demands and multiple priorities;
  • A relevant qualification in WHS/OH&S, Quality, and/or Environment or Engineering/Science;

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Wetherill Park, NSW. A competitive salary package is on offer, estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
