Job Title: Early Childhood Educator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Aboriginal Corporation. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of quality early childhood health, education, and care to children based on the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a).
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a culturally rich environment that includes the use of Aboriginal languages of children in the centre, games, activities, and songs.
- Support the development of individualized learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Collaborate with the Child Health and Development Centre team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education and care.
Requirements:
- Minimum Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent as recognized by ACECQA, or willingness to commence study as a condition of employment.
- Proven ability to demonstrate and apply working knowledge about how children learn and develop in practical ways.
- Ability to apply information provided about a diverse range of positive teaching strategies that meet the individual learning styles of different children.
- Ability to contribute as an active team member to all aspects of the functioning of the Child Health and Development Centre.
- NT Driver's License or ability to obtain one.
