Job Title: Coal Processing Plant Operator

This role involves the operation and maintenance of coal processing plant equipment, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety protocols.

  • The operator will be responsible for managing stockpiles, operating machinery, and performing inspections to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Excellent knowledge of coal analysis is essential, as well as the ability to diagnose faults and eliminate problems to operate the plant efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe operation of coal processing plant equipment
  • Stockpile management and inventory control
  • Performing regular maintenance and repairs
  • Assisting with service and repairs within the plant
  • Providing leadership and coaching to less experienced team members
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in an associated discipline (highly desirable)
  • Coal Competencies, including a current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface) and a current Queensland Open Driver's license
  • Sound computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to facilitate a JSA/Risk Assessment
