Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in assisting clients to live at home independently for as long as possible.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized support to our clients, helping them with daily tasks such as cleaning, tidying, washing, and other activities outlined in their care plan. You will also transport clients to appointments and shopping, prepare meals, offer social support or respite for family/carers, and provide personal care including assistance with showering and dressing if qualified/fully trained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assisting clients with day-to-day tasks to promote independence
  • Transporting clients to appointments and shopping
  • Preparing meals and snacks
  • Providing social support or respite for family/carers
  • Assisting with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to older adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
  • Australian driver's license and access to a registered motor vehicle
